Dollmaking has been a part of my life since my first child was born. There is nothing more satisfying than giving a doll that has been hand made. My children have played with their dolls for many years and even now as they grow up their little dolls still hold a dear place in their hearts and their bedrooms! The very first doll I made all those years ago! "Sarah" my daughter's cherished little friend Waldorf dolls are made from sheep's wool and cotton knit fabric. A unique inner head which gives form but not detail to the face. The origins of this type of doll come from a strong European tradition of doll making. Simple toys made from natural material are recognized as being of great importance for the wholesome development of young children. |
